It’s hard to believe he’s 11! He was such a little guy when we got him. Time passes too quickly.
It was a Hot Wheels birthday this year. It’s so funny how things cycle. They probably haven’t really played with Hot Wheels for the past several years. They’ve been big on Legos. Now we’re returning to Hot Wheels with wall mounted tracks and a city car floor mat.
City car floor map from Grandma and Grandpa C.
He requested sunglasses for his birthday. (He likes to wear sunglasses and a hat when he goes out…just like dad.)
Drumroll…what did Grandma and Grandpa H. send?
Tracks and cars! He LOVED them! Dad is going to spend part of the day tomorrow setting them up on Zach’s wall.
Bowling with family for his birthday party. Grandma C. was in town for Zach’s birthday. It’s so rare for us to have grandparents around for the kids’ birthdays so this was a special treat for them.
How does mommy bowl when she’s 8.5 months pregnant? Like this – feet up, sipping on water, taking photos, and cheering everyone on!
The boys got a special treat later in the evening too. Zach N.’s dad had tickets to a baseball game but was unable to go himself so he offered them to us – 4 tickets for my 4 boys. This was the very first time our boys had gone to a major league baseball game. I’m not a sports person – hence the lack of attending sporting events. (I’m the kind of mom who takes her kids hiking through old lava flows in Arizona!!)
Les and the boys had a BLAST at the game! I have no doubt this will be a night out with their dad that they will never forget. I, on the other hand, enjoyed going shopping and out to dinner with just me and my mommy and then we came home and watched a movie until the boys got home. Awesome evening all around!
On the next day…
