I woke Les up with a whiff of coffee on his night stand and asked him to keep an eye on Gabriel while I took some pictures outside.  I quickly slipped on a coat, gloves, and shoes and went out to be greeted by the bite of the winter morning.  The only noise to be heard in our yard was the deep crunch of my boots as I walked across the ice covered snow.

Everything is encased in a layer of ice.  All around it looks as if everything has been preserved and I can’t help but want to capture it before it melts away.

I came inside and called upstairs to the boys, “Get your snow clothes on!  This is perfect sledding snow!”

Chris was purposely aiming for their leftover snow fort from the last storm.  He was hoping the sled would go over it too but instead he just launched himself over it.  Justin thought it was hilarious.

They were wiping out on purpose because it was so easy to slide every direction

He stopped himself by digging his hand into the snow/ice before landing in the creek

With ease, Chris sled from the top of the driveway all the way down to the big creek in the back

This little cutie chomped on his toys and fingers while mommy was uploading photos next to him.  He twists his middle finger over his pointy finger and then chomps on them.  It’s his thing.
