Today, my life was kinda like the children’s book, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, where one thing kept leading to another.

Mazuki somehow escaped from our fence this morning and Zach found her frolicking in my garden, carefree and none the wiser.  I THINK I figured out how she got out.  After the boys helped me re-enforce the bottom of the fence with some bricks, I decided we needed to tame the garden a bit.

I let him use the clippers for the first time today.  One happy, happy boy.

He was all about getting himself, literally, into his work.  He lifted up the tomato plant and put it on his back so he could reach the tomato he wanted.

I’m hoping we get to eat this watermelon.  It will be a first for us since animals usually get to it (and the cantaloupe) before us.  Now that I think about it, we share all of our fruit with the animals.  They leave us the veggies.  Hmm….

And if your garden needs tending, more than likely, so does your lawn.

Then, as long as the puppies are outside, I might as well clean out their kennel and wash them up a bit.  Yep…it was one of those kinds of days.  I’ve decided that puppy paw prints are absolutely adorable – when they are NOT inside your house.  I’m sooooo tired of puppy prints on my floor. Inevitably, it means I need to go find the pee puddle.  I don’t think I’ve ever mopped so much in my life.

My big helpers have most assuredly earned their Gardener and Summerologist badges!  They have really blossomed into quite the gardeners and landscaping boys.
